Many Missouri teens in crisis today exhibit what is referred to as “out of control” behaviors. “Out of control” behaviors include experimenting with drugs and alcohol, running away from home, disrespect, defiance towards authority, and disobedience towards parents. An “out of control” teen is only concerned with doing things that they think will make them happy, even though it may cost them the integrity of their family. There are several choices for restoring “out of control” or troubled teens in crisis. These include programs like residential treatment centers, wilderness programs, therapeutic boarding schools, and military schools. The suitability of each of the programs mentioned depends largely on the unique needs of your troubled teen. Abundant Life Academy is a Christian boarding school located in Southern Utah. Our mission is to help troubled teens overcome their problems and give them the tools they need to reach their full potential. We have a full staff of licensed therapists and Life Coaches whose job is to mentor troubled boys and girls.
