Powder_Puff4Here at ALA's boarding school the students have the unique opportunity to receive vital and unique leadership tools that they incorporate within the community and on the athletic field. The students have the opportunity to participate in football, basketball, and baseball, and have come to rely on these skills to both be successful personally and as a team.

 

Football_Practice4They have learned the importance of teamwork, discipline, setting and achieving goals, and helping others, all while competing at a high level of high school athletics. They come to appreciate the concept of hard work and preparation and the importance of communication. They get to see the reward of working together as a team and accomplishing the goals they have set for themselves and others. They also have the opportunity to deal with both defeat and conflict in the appropriate way and find a positive resolution in which to be successful.

They use these tools in both their professional and personal lives to help them address and overcome problems and conflicts that may arise.
