Pennsylvania has a total of fiften boarding schools within its borders to choose from.

Of special note are two boarding schools in particular and are;  Carson Long Military Institute which is the oldest boarding school with military training in the United States, It has been in operation since 1836. Another school, Linden Hall, was established in 1746, Linden Hall is the oldest girls’ boarding school in the United States! 

The boarding school diversity in Pennsylvania includes; Christian based boarding schools, Military boarding schools, and college preparatory programs.

Although there are some good schools in the western and central regions the majority of the of the best programs are in the eastern portions of the state. 

There are all boys boarding schools, all girls boarding schools and co-ed schools, and in addition there are military schools as well.
