Maryland although one of the smallest states in the country it still boast seven Boarding Schools from which to choose from.  The variety includes three all girls boarding schools, one all boys boarding school, and three Co-ed boarding schools. Several of the schools also offer college preparatory classes as part of their curriculum. Of special note is that Maryland is one of only a very few select states that have boarding schools that will accept students starting in the 8th grade as opposed to the customary 9th grade level, and one particular boarding school will also accept students from Kindergarten all the way through the 12th grade!
