ALA is 100% Christ-centered. Our boarding school for troubled boys and struggling girls is specifically designed for the once gifted athlete who can no longer participate in school athletics due to poor grades and personal choices. Our goal is to restore the troubled boy or girl athlete (restore them academically, spiritually, and athletically) so that they can reclaim their athletic dreams.

In addition, we set our sights on the lofty goal to assist the once troubled teen boy or girl athlete to earn an athletic scholarship to a Division I or II College or University. We, at ALA,  restore the once gifted troubled girl or boy back to a destiny of triumph and success.

 

Restoring Your Troubled Teen Boys and Girls to Gifted Athletes Once Again

The average Abundant Life Academy athlete is a good kid (with a good heart) who is external versus internal (gets along with others but is always looking to have fun but gets in trouble instead). The typical troubled boy or girl from in our program is undisciplined, unstructured, and sometimes depressed (which is caused by his or her poor choices over a long time period). These struggling girls and boys care about their friends and having fun. School is not high on their priority list. Youth like these blame everyone but themselves for their poor choices and refusal to take responsibility. Going to the next party is their new idea of sport, and their trophy is having fun. These troubled teens may be abusing drugs  or alcohol, and typically has had small encounters with the police.  Many of these troubled boys and girls are ex-athletes that may have been kicked out of school and can no longer compete in high school sports. Due to all of this trouble these boys and girls have given up on their dreams to play school sports at any level. These troubled teens have lost their vision of  getting a post-high school scholarship and a life of fulfilling their dreams.
