Abundant Life Academy Clothing Items

 

New students enrolling ito Abundant Life Academy are required to wear academy attire.  Uniforms are typical "Clothing" policy for Christian boarding schools and traditional boarding schools alike. Our goal is to provide the parents with a low cost option for uniforms without sacrificig quality.  The ALA clothing line is semi-causal, durable, and sturdy.  This clothing line also is as attractive as student uniforms can be.  Moreover, the uniform vendors we use are priced right. Student's feedback about the ALA uniforms is positive (as positive as teenagers can be).  The uniform policy is integrated into the leadership program.  The students are required to do their own laundry and to care for their belongings, especially clothing.  At ALA the staff are able to discover where the student's weak/blind spots are.  Sometimes we discover their negative patterns through the uniform requirements, or by the way the care (or not care) for their clothing.  To most teens their "style" is displayed through their clothing choices.  Their identity is carved out through the way the dress.  Teens connect with their peer groups by conforming to the acceptable style of the peer group.  By using a uniform policy Abundant Life Academy staff are able to quickly identify underlying issues of "inadequacy", "poor peer choices", little to no "self-worth", etc.  Moreover, many students attempt to "work the system", and convince their parents to send non-uniform clothing.  To these students the rules don't apply top them, and
