Pastor Chuck Smith

“My  heart breaks when I talk to mothers and fathers who are dealing with difficult situations with their teens.   The unique set of challenges parents face when raising children today go far beyond anything that Kay and I experienced when our children were young.  Technological advances and social media make it almost impossible to protect a child who is determined to go astray.

Abundant Life Academy (ALA) is a fully accredited, evangelical Christian boarding school that provides help and hope to parents of troubled teens.  In my estimation, the work ALA is doing in restoring families and helping young people find their place in the family of God is tremendous.”

Chuck Smith
Senior Pastor,  Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa

About Pastor Chuck Smith
Pastor Chuck Smith started his Calvary Chapel ministry in 1965  in Costa Mesa, CA. The church started with just 25 people, but Pastor Smith quickly saw God blessing the ministry and it’s simple teaching, and the church grew.

Calvary Chapel now draws over 10,000 attendees weekly. Pastor Chuck’s genuine heart for the lost sparked a stirring of the Holy Spirit, which spread the Calvary Chapel movement from California to nationwide and beyond. This movement was instrumental in bringing thousands of young people to Jesus Christ during the 60s and 70s in what was known as the Jesus People Movement.

Robert A. Rohm

“It has been my pleasure and good fortune to work with the people in leadership at Abundant Life Academy for the past several years. I have also been on-site and provided them with additional training. They are some of the finest people I have ever met.  They have a genuine concern for the well-being of the students and families with which they work. I highly recommend them and their program to any family in need of their services. I can assure you that you will be blessed!”

Ken Johnson

Pastor Ken Johnson

“John 10:10 quotes Jesus Christ as saying, ‘I have come to give you life abundant and full.’ Every moment of His life, He stayed true to that mission. The gifted Team at Abundant Life Academy have adopted that same mission statement, and dedicated themselves to helping teenagers work through the unique problems and challenges that cut so many teens off from what God wants for them – tremendous aliveness. Fully alive young people and fully restored families – what a great mission!”
