Jerry Stire

Spiritual Life Director

Jerry attended Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL, studying Pastoral Ministry and Classical Music and graduated with a BA from the University of Richmond, Summa Cum Laude. Jerry moved back to his hometown of Clarksburg, WV to help their former youth pastor plant a new church, which now runs 1500 in attendance. After 7 years at Horizons Church, Jerry pursued new opportunities at World Vision as their Program Director creating and managing after-school reading programs in the Appalachian region. Missing the one-on-one relationships, Jerry took a youth pastorate in Waldorf, Md, a suburb of Washington, DC, where he created a new youth ministry, led the Worship ministry and assisted the Pastor through a land purchase for a new Youth & Family Center, now in operation for the youth of Southern Maryland. Jerry is married and has a beautiful daughter. Also in the mix are three dogs, two cats and the swamp monster in their back yard (they are not sure what lives in that swamp!) Jerry has worked with teens for well over 20 years. “My goal for every student is to see their God-given value and potential and know that God has placed them on earth for a reason and a purpose.”
