Programs for Troubled Teens
Every person reaches at point in his life that is teenage. Teenage
is a part of life when a person cross the child hood and reach
in adulthood. In this period the teen have a lot of biological
and psychological changes. The changes of body and mental seem
as a miracle for them. They could not under stand that what
is happening.
They find a lot of unknown mental disease like depression
and tension. As long as they walk in way of life, they face
more than disorder and different types physical diseases.
In this condition it becomes must that we help them. It is
our moral obligation that we tell them about their internal
and external changes.
There are many types program running continue at the private
and government label. All these provide teen’s friendly
environment and natural status. These programs can be out
door or indoor.
In indoor program there are many types boarding school, military
school, and other residential programs and in outdoor programs
are boot camps, brat camps, and wilderness program. At risk
youth programs are also not back in this series.
Teen boarding schools, private schools, catholic boarding
school treatment centers, each of these varies in the level
of therapy and services that they provide to teens. They give
a strong and helpful educational environment for teens.
The catholic boarding school and Christian boarding school
provide knowledge based on bible and Jesus. These schools
provide consistent therapeutic sessions with a structured
positive peer culture setting.
Military schools provide military based education .in these
schools teach students a lesion of faith discipline and honor.
The boot camps and brat camp work with try to help a teen
learn to deal with life without his or her medicine. The camps
seem to have pretty good success with a philosophy based on
structure and discipline. These camps can be a very effective
way of teaching discipline and sending a message to a troubled
teen.
These camps have three criteria as:
- Day camp
- Residential camp
- Traveling programs
Wilderness programs have assisted teen to identify and work
through internal and external conflicts and emotional obstacles
that have kept them from responding to parental efforts and
treatment.
The wilderness programs underachieving and troubled teens
with behavioral and academic problems achieve their full potential.
Program, allows students to experience success, and rediscover
a sense of self worth.
Abundant Life Academy is a different type of program for
troubled teens. We believe that Jesus is the only answer.
The world teaches us to be selfish, self-centered, and to
meet our needs with recklessness. Our kids have bought into
these schemes. The good news is that our kids are dissatisfied,
unhappy, and miserable. Being such they are in a good position
to see how deceptive selfishness is… they are beginning
to understand that they have been duped, and many are ready
to receive the truth and to come out of the nightmare they
have been living. Being dissatisfied with the ways of the
world has prepared them to seek the truth, and to receive
Jesus.
